Frequently asked questions.
Does NWPA provide legal support?
NWPA intends to provide eligible registered members with access to structured legal support for qualifying workplace and personal legal matters through appropriately qualified legal professionals, subject to programme terms and eligibility conditions.
Are all legal cases covered?
No. Coverage depends on membership status, when the issue arose, the nature of the matter, applicable waiting periods, programme exclusions and the level of support approved for the case.
Are disputes that existed before joining NWPA covered?
Pre-existing matters are ordinarily not covered under standard programme benefits unless specifically permitted under applicable NWPA rules.
Does membership guarantee free court representation?
No. Membership does not automatically guarantee free litigation or court representation. Representation and financial support, where available, depend on case eligibility, programme rules, approval and available resources.
Can I seek help for a personal matter unrelated to my employer?
Yes. Eligible members may request assistance for qualifying personal legal matters under the programme, subject to applicable eligibility rules and exclusions.
